Pricing FAQs

The questions we are asked most about fees and funding.

How much does occupational therapy cost?
Most OT is charged by the hour at the current NDIS price-guide rate ($193.99/hr for 2025-26), whether you are NDIS-funded or paying privately. Assessments with a report combine your session time and report-writing time. For example, a Functional Capacity Assessment is typically 10 to 15 hours ($1,940 to $2,910). We give you an estimate before we start.
Do you bulk bill?
Yes. For eligible clients with a valid GP care plan referral, we bulk bill occupational therapy sessions through Medicare, so there is no out-of-pocket cost for those visits. Ask your GP about a Chronic Condition Management Plan.
Is private therapy more expensive than NDIS?
No. We charge private clients in line with the NDIS rate, so you pay the same fair hourly fee whether you are funded through the NDIS or paying yourself.
Why do reports cost more than a single session?
A report includes both the time we spend assessing you and the time spent analysing the information and writing a thorough, evidence-based report your funder can rely on. We always estimate the total hours before we begin.
Will the NDIS or Medicare pay for my OT?
It depends on your individual plan, eligibility and goals. Funding is not automatic or guaranteed. The best first step is a quick chat with us, or speak to your support coordinator, planner or GP. We will always be upfront about what is and is not covered.
How long until I get my report?
For non-complex clients, you can expect your completed report within 7 to 10 business days of the final assessment. Complex assessments (including SIL/SDA and complex home modifications) take 10 to 15 business days, or longer where builder or specialist input is needed. We confirm a realistic timeframe before we start.
How much does a minor home modification assessment cost?
A minor (non-structural) home modification assessment, such as for grab rails, ramps or a handheld shower, is typically 3 to 5 hours, or about $580 to $970 at the current NDIS rate. Complex structural modifications take around 30 hours. Every home modification funded through the NDIS needs an OT assessment first.
Do you charge for travel?
We keep travel fair. Short trips of up to about 15 minutes each way are not charged. Beyond that, travel is charged at the NDIS travel rate of $96.995 per hour (half our hourly rate), and the same policy applies to private clients. Locations further afield are by arrangement. We will discuss any travel cost with you and confirm it in your service agreement before we visit.
