Pricing & Fees

Clear, honest pricing for occupational therapy

No surprises and no jargon. Whether you are funded through the NDIS, Medicare or paying privately, here is exactly how our fees work and what to expect.

Three ways to fund your occupational therapy

Most clients access our services through one of these pathways. Not sure which fits you? We are happy to help you work it out before you book.

  • Self, plan or agency managed all welcome
  • Charged at the NDIS price-guide hourly rate, never above
  • Covers assessment, report writing and travel as per your plan
  • We provide a clear service agreement before we start
Medicare

Bulk-billed via Medicare

$0out of pocket for eligible clients
  • For eligible clients with a valid GP care plan referral
  • We bulk bill, so there is nothing to pay for those sessions
  • Up to 5 allied-health visits per year (shared across providers)
  • Ask your GP about a Chronic Condition Management Plan
Private

Private (self-funded)

$193.99per hour, in line with NDIS rates
  • No referral or plan required, book directly
  • Charged at the same fair rate as NDIS clients
  • Ideal if you are not eligible for NDIS or Medicare funding
  • Private health rebates may apply, check with your insurer

*$193.99/hr is the NDIS maximum hourly price limit for occupational therapy under the 2026-27 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. We charge at the current rate, never above it.

Our fees by service

Most occupational therapy is charged by the hour at the rate above. Assessments that include a written report combine the time spent with you and the time spent writing your report. The hours vary with complexity, so every assessment is quoted in expected hours before we start, and you approve the quote before any work begins.

What’s behind every fee: our process

Pricing FAQs

The questions we are asked most about fees and funding.

How much does occupational therapy cost?
Most OT is charged by the hour at the current NDIS price-guide rate ($193.99/hr for 2026-27), whether you are NDIS-funded or paying privately. Assessments with a report combine your session time and report-writing time, and the hours vary with complexity, so we quote the expected hours for your situation before we start. You approve the quote before any work begins.
Do you bulk bill?
Yes. For eligible clients with a valid GP care plan referral, we bulk bill occupational therapy sessions through Medicare, so there is no out-of-pocket cost for those visits. Ask your GP about a Chronic Condition Management Plan.
Is private therapy more expensive than NDIS?
No. We charge private clients in line with the NDIS rate, so you pay the same fair hourly fee whether you are funded through the NDIS or paying yourself.
Why do reports cost more than a single session?
A report includes both the time we spend assessing you and the time spent analysing the information and writing a thorough, evidence-based report your funder can rely on. We always estimate the total hours before we begin.
Will the NDIS or Medicare pay for my OT?
It depends on your individual plan, eligibility and goals. Funding is not automatic or guaranteed. The best first step is a quick chat with us, or speak to your support coordinator, planner or GP. We will always be upfront about what is and is not covered.
How long until I get my report?
For non-complex clients, you can expect your completed report within 7 to 10 business days of the final assessment. Complex assessments (including SIL/SDA and complex home modifications) take 10 to 15 business days, or longer where builder or specialist input is needed. We confirm a realistic timeframe before we start.
How much does a minor home modification assessment cost?
A minor (non-structural) home modification assessment, such as for grab rails, ramps or a handheld shower, is the quickest assessment we do, while complex structural modifications involve substantially more clinical time. Every home modification funded through the NDIS needs an OT assessment first, and we quote the expected hours for your situation before we start.
Do you charge for travel?
We keep travel fair. Short trips of up to about 15 minutes each way are not charged. Beyond that, travel is charged at the NDIS travel rate of $96.995 per hour (half our hourly rate), and the same policy applies to private clients. Locations further afield are by arrangement. We will discuss any travel cost with you and confirm it in your service agreement before we visit.
