Clear, honest pricing for occupational therapy
No surprises and no jargon. Whether you are funded through the NDIS, Medicare or paying privately, here is exactly how our fees work and what to expect.
Three ways to fund your occupational therapy
Most clients access our services through one of these pathways. Not sure which fits you? We are happy to help you work it out before you book.
NDIS funded
- Self, plan or agency managed all welcome
- Charged at the NDIS price-guide hourly rate, never above
- Covers assessment, report writing and travel as per your plan
- We provide a clear service agreement before we start
Bulk-billed via Medicare
- For eligible clients with a valid GP care plan referral
- We bulk bill, so there is nothing to pay for those sessions
- Up to 5 allied-health visits per year (shared across providers)
- Ask your GP about a Chronic Condition Management Plan
Private (self-funded)
- No referral or plan required, book directly
- Charged at the same fair rate as NDIS clients
- Ideal if you are not eligible for NDIS or Medicare funding
- Private health rebates may apply, check with your insurer
*$193.99/hr is the NDIS maximum hourly price limit for occupational therapy under the 2025-26 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. We charge at the current rate, never above it.
Our fees by service
Most occupational therapy is charged by the hour at the rate above. Assessments that include a written report combine the time spent with you and the time spent writing your report. The typical time ranges below are a guide; your final quote depends on your needs and complexity.
| Service | What’s included | Typical time | Indicative fee* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) | In-home or telehealth assessment, standardised tools, full NDIS-ready report | 10 to 15 hrs | $1,940 to $2,910 |
| SDA assessment | Specialist Disability Accommodation housing assessment + report | 15 to 20 hrs | $2,910 to $3,880 |
| SIL + SDA combined assessment | Supported living and accommodation assessment + evidence-based report | 30 hrs | $5,820 |
| Assistive Technology (AT) assessment | Assessment, equipment trials, prescription + AT evidence report | 15 to 25 hrs | $2,910 to $4,850 |
| Home modifications: minor | Home visit, non-structural recommendations + report (see below) | 3 to 5 hrs | $580 to $970 |
| Home modifications: complex | Structural assessment, builder liaison + detailed report (see below) | 30 hrs | $5,820 |
| General OT & mental health OT | Individual sessions for daily living, mobility, routines, psychosocial goals | per hour | $193.99/hr |
*Indicative ranges only, not a quote. Figures are calculated at the 2025-26 NDIS rate of $193.99/hr for the typical hours shown. Your final fee depends on assessment complexity, travel and your individual needs, and is set out in a service agreement before any work begins.
What’s behind every fee: our process
We do not just write a report. We do the clinical work first. Here is the level of detail that goes into each assessment before a single line of your report is written. Hours below are a representative breakdown; the total varies with complexity.
Functional Capacity Assessment
A thorough, NDIA-aligned picture of how you manage everyday activities.
SDA assessment
Specialist Disability Accommodation housing evidence, mapped to the SDA design categories.
SIL + SDA combined
Daily support needs and accommodation assessed together for participants with higher needs.
Assistive Technology assessment
The right equipment, trialled and justified. Hours depend on the technology involved.
Home modifications: minor
Non-structural changes (grab rails, ramps, handheld showers) still need a proper OT assessment, but the process is quick and low-cost.
Home modifications: complex
Structural work (bathroom redesigns, widened doorways) with early builder involvement.
Every step above is real clinical work. The hour split is representative; your service agreement sets out the agreed hours for your situation before we begin. More on home mods in our guide: Minor vs complex home modifications.
Report turnaround times
We work efficiently without cutting corners. Here is when you can expect your completed report.
Non-complex participants
For clients with straightforward, non-complex needs, you can expect your completed report within 7 to 10 business days of the final assessment.
Complex participants
Complex presentations, multi-goal assessments, SIL/SDA and complex home modifications take 10 to 15 business days, or longer where builder or specialist input is required. We always give you a realistic timeframe up front.
What every fee includes
You always know what you are paying for, before you commit.
